He was loved and cherished by many people including: his mother Lois Bennett; his wife Judy Bennett of Memphis; his daughter Cheryl Wiygul (Phillip); his siblings, Fred Bennett (Valerie) of Memphis, Rick Bennett (Susan) of Chandler and Ginger Murdoch of Olive Branch; and his father Fred Bennett of Memphis. He was also cherished by nieces and nephews.

The family would like memorial contributions to be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
