He is survived by: his wife Valerie Byrd Richards; his children, Jamie Richards Whitney and Robert Richards; his stepchildren, Jacenta Bunch Speed and George Bunch (Trey); and his brother Maury Richards of Taylor, MI. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
