He is survived by: his wife Carol Rawls Johnson Dean; his sons, Cedric (Melissa), Jarrod and Matthew (Kristine); his brother Joenathan; his grandchildren, Madison, Cedric, Jr. and Samantha; his stepchildren, Rucker (Candace), Christina (James) and Paul; his stepgrandchildren, Rucker Jr., Layla, James, Laniya, Imany and Paul Jr.; and his siblings-in-law, Brenda, Eva (Melvin), Phyllis, Nancy, Margaret (Jay), James and William. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear and caring friends.
