She was predeceased by : her parents, Noah Franklin Haygood and Pearlie Mardis Haygood; her husband James Irby Evans; her siblings, Gladys Winkles, Ford, Tulin and Wilmer; and her son Carl Franklin Stewart.

She is survived by : her children, Gail Barber of Falkner, MS, Vicki McClaughlin of Middleton, Brenda Lee Stewart of Wapapella, MO and Marlin Stewart of Alabama. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
