He is survived by: his mother Arelia Merritt; his brother Alton Merritt; his sons, Chase and Dalton Merritt; his fiancée Phyllis Seaton; his stepsons, Zachary Mouser and Jacob McLaughlin; and his grandchildren, Lydia, Abby, Aiden, Addison, Scarlett, Ryder, Jade, Jasper, Maya and Maleayah.
