We are sad to announce that on September 15, 2025, at the age of 79, Barbara Alfreda Duncan-Cody of Millington, Tennessee passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Barbara Alfreda Duncan-Cody to pay them a last tribute.

As Barbara departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Barbara. Though Barbara may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.

She is survived by: her husband Atty; her children, Justin Ryan Cody and Rachel Joann Cody-Alexander (Darrell); and her grandchildren, Laila and Darrell.

Visitation was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Trinity Cme Church (1096 Thomas St, Memphis, TN 38107). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 27th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church - Broad (2835 Broad Ave, Memphis, TN 38112).

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Meharry Medical College or Historic Knoxville College in her honor and Memory.
