Bettye Forbess Obituary

She was predeceased by: her parents, William Silas Fox and Nicie Belle Mannin; her siblings, Hattie Grooms Cheatwood (Hughes), Earnest Goble Fox (Estelle), Thomas Edward Fox (Ruby), Frances Fox, Imogene Desdalee Fox Wilburn (Roy), Kurn Fox, Oveta Katherine Fox Key (Nolan), Herbert Franklin Fox (Shirley) and Joe Charles Fox; and her granddaughter Makaila Joy Manzo.

She is survived by: her husband James Harold Forbess of Atoka; her children, Malinda Joy Forbess Manzo (Mike) and Jay Fox Forbess (Julie); and her grandsons, Philip Michael Manzo, James Matthew Manzo and Andrew Fox Forbess.

Visitation was held on Friday, November 7th 2025 from 4:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the Munford Funeral Home – Millington Chapel (7450 Raleigh Millington Rd, Millington, TN 38053). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location.
