With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Carlene Ellis Clay of Millington, Tennessee, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 5, 2025 at the age of 82. She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Ellis and Janie Ellis; her husband Donald Clay; and her siblings, Kyle, Ralph Ellis and Wanda Faye Ellis.
She is survived by: her daughters, Vera Wyatt (Ricky) of Millington and Valerie Pennington (Randy) of Drummonds; her brothers, Mark Ellis (Dee) of Millington, Ronnie Ellis (Mary) of Memphis and Bobby Ellis (Lucretia) of Victoria, MS.; her grandchildren, Heather Wallace (Harden) of Atoka, Logan Courtney of Knoxville, Cody Courtney of Drummonds, Dalton Courtney of Knoxville, Heather Pennington of Covington, Stephanie Pennington (Bradley) of Horn Lake, MS and Randy Pennington Jr. of Brunswick, TN.; her precious Pepper; and her fifteen year old Malti-Tzu. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Munford Funeral Homes - Millington Chapel (7450 Raleigh Millington Rd, Millington, TN 38053). A funeral service was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
