She was predeceased by: her sons, Robbie Taylor, Rick Harper and Steve Harper. She is survived by: her sons, Rex Johnston (Stacia) of Lago Vista, TX and Dennis Johnston Jr. (Michelle) of Florence, AL.. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and 2 great -great grandchildren.
Her professional career included significant contributions to the Memphis Labor Council during the sanitation strike that followed the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
