With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Joe Eugene Boyd Sr. of Millington, Tennessee, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 24, 2025 at the age of 86. In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Joe Eugene leaves behind and his impact on the lives of his loved ones. Though Joe Eugene may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
He was predeceased by: his wife Ruby Lee Boyd (Butler); his daughter Betty Ann Carlsen; and his brothers, Bill W. Boyd and John A. Boyd. He is survived by: his children, Glenda Faye Olvera and Joe Eugene Boyd, Jr. (Sandra); and his siblings, Patricia Ann Tinnin, Ronald H. Boyd, James L. Boyd and Thomas Barry Boyd. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 30th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Munford Funeral Homes - Millington Chapel (7450 Raleigh Millington Rd, Millington, TN 38053). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 1st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
