She was predeceased by : her parents, Henry Beasley and Mary Beasley; her husband Richard Sowell; and her siblings, Mary, May Beasley and Don Beasley.

She is survived by : her children, Tabitha Wright (Kenny) and Mark Sowell (Mary); her grandchildren, Jessica Sowell (Germain Humphrey), Christopher Sowell, James Sowell, Brittany Wright, Brook Wright and Brandon Wright; her great grandchild William Humphrey; and her siblings, Sue Farr and Charles Beasley.
