He was predeceased by: his parents, Hilery Lee and Myrtis Williams Wiggins; his wife Patricia; his son Walter Lee Wiggins II; his stepson Carl Sloan; and his sister Melva Lee. He is also survived by his two nieces, nephew, and numerous cousins.
