He is survived by: his wife Linda Tompkins; his children, Blake Young (Stephanie) and Nicola Young; his grandchildren, Grayson Smith, Lydia Cooksey, Jessa Cooksey, Levon Young and Clay Young; and his siblings, Mary Anna Garrett and Jeff Young (Melissa).
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Brown Funeral Chapel (202 W Main St, Byrdstown, TN 38549). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
