Herrin and Martha Bell Steele Herrin; her husband Carlie Eugene Burgess; her son Charles Burgess; her siblings, Oscar Paul Herrin, Charlie Herrin, Frank Herrin, Jim Herrin, Ned Herrin, Robert Lee Herrin, Calvin Herrin, Sr., Don Herrin, Dave Herrin and Francis Cantrell; and her brothers-in-law, Peyton Cantrell, Wade Farley and Teddy Slatton.
She is survived by: her son Carl Burgess (Tamisha) of McMinnville, TN; her grandchildren, Carissa Jones (Justin) of Cookeville, TN, Meagan Burgess (Colby) of Spencer, TN, Miranda Bain (Samuel) of McMinnville, TN and Zachary Burgess (Rylan) of McMinnville, TN; her great grandchildren, Carter, CaeLynn Jones, Barren, Caney Burgess, Sherman, Rosemary and Titus Bain; her siblings, Linda Farley of Morrison, TN, Clara Nell Slatton of McMinnville, TN and Ben Herrin (Pearl) of Morrison, TN; and her sister-in-law Josephine Herrin.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 29th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, October 30th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the High Funeral Home (101 College St, McMinnville, TN 37110). A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 30th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Bascom Cemetery (5311 Vervilla Rd, Morrison, TN 37357).
