He was predeceased by: his parents, Warren F. Herrin and Martha Bell Steele Herrin; his children, David Herrin and Diane Roberts; his siblings, Francis Cantrell, Oscar Paul, Charlie, Frank, Jim, Ned, Robert Lee, Calvin, Sr. and Don Herrin; and his siblings-in-law, Peyton Cantrell, Teddy Slatton, Wade Farley and Carlie Burgess.
He is survived by: his wife Alice Josephine Hobbs Herrin; his children-in-law, LaJuanda Herrin and George Roberts; his grandchildren, Brent Herrin, LaJuanda Renee King, Krystle Herrin, Taraa Zahn, Aaron Roberts (Hollie) and Jessica McPeak (Crockett); his siblings, Ben Herrin (Pearl), Clara Nell Slatton, Armanda Burgess and Linda Farley; and his sister-in-law Judy Turner (Foster).
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 7th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, May 8th 2026 at 9:00 AM at the High's Chapel (101 College St, McMinnville, TN 37110). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 8th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
