He was predeceased by: his father Herman Lee Mutter; his father-in-law C. H. Clark; and his nephews, Kevin and Landon Milligan. He is survived by: his wife Tammy Clark Mutter; his son Bryson Mutter; his mother Janice Mutter; his mother-in-law Janice Clark; his siblings, Mark Mutter, Keith Mutter (Amy) and Terri Sue Milligan (Mark); his siblings' children, Ashley Mutter, Arista Owen and Austin Owen; his brothers-in-law, Todd Clark (Debbie) and Thad Clark; and his uncles, Larry and Donnie Mutter.

Visitation was held on Thursday, September 11th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Westside Chapel Funeral Home, Inc. (3521 W Andrew Johnson Hwy, Morristown, TN 37814). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 11th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Friday, September 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Bethesda Cemetery.
