We announce the death of Angela Lawson of Morristown, Tennessee, who passed away on July 19, 2026, at the age of 66. She was predeceased by: her husband Melvin Lawson; her parents, Jesse Carpenter and Helen Shipman Carpenter; and her brother Perry Carpenter. She is survived by: her children, Ricky Purkey, Crystal Holt (Welgin) and Nicholas Purkey (Violet); her grandchildren, Adrian, Preston, Devin, Nicholas, Brooklyn, Trevor, Haley and Ciara; her brother Gary Carpenter; her nephew Harley Carpenter; and her boyfriend Gerald Ellis. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
