Brenda Sue Varney Obituary

We announce the death of Brenda Sue Varney in Morristown, Tennessee, who passed away on September 1, 2026, at the age of 78. Brenda will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Milton Smith Sr. and Hazel Smith; and her brothers, Joe David Smith and William Milton Smith Jr.. She is survived by: her husband Noah "Salty" Varney; her daughter Penny Nola Varney-Robinson (Tim); her siblings, Terry Lane Smith (Chris), Jerry E. Smith (Tammy), Patricia Murphy (Donnie) and Michelle Denise Hatfield (Rick); her grandchildren, David Ballard (Dana), Daniel Ballard and Tacha Forshey; her great grandchildren, Harper Rae Ballard, Maverick Alexander Ballard and Sutton Gale Ballard; her close friends, Floyd, Geraldine Farley, Mike Jarell and Billie Jo Powers; and her pet Callie. She is also survived by numerous other close friends and neighbors.
