He was predeceased by: his parents, Ronald "Virgil" Dalton and Della Mae Dalton; and his sister Charlona "Regina" Dalton. He is survived by: his wife Thalia "Tee" Dalton; his brother Ronald "Gary" Dalton (Jimmie); his adoptive sons, Terrell, Tavari "Boo" and Christopher; and his niece Tiffany.
