He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Gordon Goddard Sr. and Audrey Buchanan Goddard; his son David Goddard (Wayna) of Dandridge, TN.; and his sisters, Beth Goddard Bell and Carolyn Goddard Bell.

He is survived by: his wife Jessica Thomas of Sylva, NC; his daughter Connie Spicer (Steven) of Knoxville, TN; his grandchildren, Jessica and Charles Goddard of Dandridge, TN; his siblings, Mary Goddard Slagle of Sylva, NC, Tom Goddard (Patsy) of Statesville, NC and John Goddard (Jennifer) of Asheville, NC; and his brother-in-law Steve Thomas (Barbara) of Hickory, NC. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and numerous other relatives.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church at 101 East First North Street in Morristown, TN.
