He was loved and cherished by many people including: wife: Doris Thurman; parents: James and Carolyn Wesby Thurman; father-in-law: Bill Moore; mother-in-law: Sue Moore; brother: James Thurman; sisters: Gloria Brown, Emily Meaux, and Wanda Burgess; children: Bridgette (Gill) Finley, Kathy Thurman, and Pennie Thurman; sister-in-law: Crystal (Kraig) Evitt; nieces: Amber (Austin) Pearson and Allysa (Corey) Sams; special nieces and nephews: Easton Sams, Kimber and Colt Pearson, Patrick (Amber) Tackett, Aniyah "Bobo" Tackett, and Renda Burgess; friends: Joe Jackson, Willie Oliver, Ravenia "Auntie" "Curley Top" Moore, and Dan Smoker; other: Tony Collins; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the New Vision Ministries (3010 Vine St, White Pine, TN 37890). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
