He was predeceased by: his parents, Pierce Purkey and Irene Purkey. He is survived by: his siblings, Donnie Purkey, Randy Purkey (Barbara), Virginia Tackett (Blaine), Pamela Honaker (Ronnie) and Joyce Coffman. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Westside Chapel Funeral Home, Inc. (3521 W Andrew Johnson Hwy, Morristown, TN 37814). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Bethesda Cemetery.
