She was predeceased by: her parents, William Sidney Cosson and Elizabeth Cosson Campbell; her siblings, Dr. William Edward Cosson, David Frederick Cosson, James Lynn Cosson, Ernest Vernon Cosson, Mildred Almyra Cosson Dixon and Roberta Ann Cosson Rogers; her former husband Herschel Edward Jennings; and her granddaughter Stephanie Rockwood.
She is survived by: her husband James Edward Akins; her children, Herschel Edward Jennings, Jr. (Carla Murphy Jennings), Michael Douglas Jennings, Jon Kevin Jennings (Donna Darnell Jennings) and Patricia Ann McGoldrick; and her stepchildren, Lynn Edward Akins, James Lee Akins and Mitzi Janell Asher. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; one great-grandson; one great-granddaughter; and one great-great granddaughter.
