He was predeceased by: his parents, Arlie Johnson and Novella Johnson; his daughters, Kimberly Caudill and Vickie Purkey; his siblings, Mack Johnson, Wayne Johnson, Randall Johnson, Jerry Johnson, Joyce Russell, Beulah Johnson and Sue Rickard; and his brothers-in-law, Dan, Rick and Steve.
He is survived by: his wife Geneva Johnson; his grandchildren, Jessee Carpenter (Billy), Whitney Hipsher (Matthew), Tiffney Purkey and Candace Graves (Spencer); his great grandchildren, Jesslynn, McKinley, Grayson, Diesel, Gracie, Avery, Olivia, Tazer, Mylah and Trace; his siblings, Roy, Don, Fred and Jean; and his siblings-in-law, Ray, Jeff, Keith and Teresa.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Westside Chapel Funeral Home, Inc. (3521 W Andrew Johnson Hwy, Morristown, TN 37814). A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations for funeral expenses.
