She was predeceased by: her parents, Melvin Matthews and Lona Matthews; her siblings, Walt Craven, Earl Matthews, Joni Craven and Candace Matthews Chaisson; her stepbrothers, Charley, Donny and Scotty Craven; her former husband James L. Carter; her grandson Brandon Bishop; her daughter-in-law Melissa Chapman Williams; her brothers-in-law, Roy and Bobby Williams; and her close friend Giselle Rogers.

She is survived by: her husband Curtis Williams; her children, Deb Carter Bishop, Jim Carter (Jean-Marie) and Leslie Williams; her grandchildren, Chadd Bishop (Carol), Autumn Gibson (Jeremy), Drew Bishop (Christy), Matthew Carter, Marguerite Carter and Barry Williams; her great grandchildren, Wyatt Bishop Hatfield (Dylan), Corbin Bishop, Codi Bishop, Danielle Charles, Rayne Gibson, Reagan Bishop, Kane Bishop, Reece Bishop, Taylor Carter, Calli Carter, Emory Francis and Stetson Francis; her great great grandchildren, Branley Hatfield and Cash Hatfield; her sisters, Camille Matthews, Ellie Fowler and Reta M. Chaffee; her sister-in-law Joy Harring (Bruce); and her granddaughter-in-law Shae Bishop.
