He was predeceased by: his daughter Cheryl Karn; his parents, William Karn and Marion Karn; and his brothers, William Karn and Robert Karn.

He is survived by: his wife Charlotte Karn. He is also survived by 8 children; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
