We announce the death of Glenda Carpenter of Morristown, Tennessee, who passed away on September 27, 2026, at the age of 77. Glenda will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Glenda will be remembered for the impact she had on the lives of those around her. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew Glenda will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture her life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. Glenda’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued her companionship.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Gose and Louise Carpenter Gose; and her son John Carpenter. She is survived by: her son Charles Carpenter; and her sisters, Angie Atkins (Gale) and Connie Kay Ivy. She is also survived by other family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Chapel of Stetzer-Bales Funeral Home (146 E Main St, Morristown, TN 37814). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 at 8:00 PM and on Thursday, October 1st 2026 at 11:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Morningside Baptist Church or Morristown Hamblen Humane Society, as she had a deep love for animals.
