As Joan departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Joan may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Joan leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Guy Davis and Marie Davis; and her sister Brenda Ricker. She is survived by: her husband William "Bill" Southern; her daughter Rhonda Haley (Todd); her granddaughter Anna Haley; and her siblings, Tom Davis (Laura) and Donna Eddington (Debbie Wolfe). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews; as well as many dear church family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Highland Baptist Church Children's Ministry.
