He was predeceased by: his wife Carolyn Faye Dalton; his father Rev. Hughie Dalton; and his siblings, Haskell, Esco, Fred, Clay, Garrett, Hugh B. Dalton, Tannie Bell, Clara Monk and Elsie West.
He is survived by: his children, John Dalton (Melissa), Larry Hugh Dalton (Jennifer), Vanessa Long and Annette Bolden (Faydean); his grandchildren, John-Garrett, Braxton, Reagan Dalton, Brooke Clark, Jaylin Cotter, Jessa Mullins, Ashley Odell, Tiffany Lewis, Tamra Dalton, Brittany Dalton, Larry Dean Bolden, Chelsea Bolden and Kaiden Wells; his mother June Sawyer; his siblings, Eva Jean Coffey, Virginia Russell (Jimmy), Brill Pollard (Terry) and Major Dalton (Lea); and his siblings-in-law, Lucille Collins, Sonny Carter (Sarah) and Johnny Carter. He is also survived by twenty six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Power House Baptist Church (803 McFarland St, Morristown, TN 37814). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 at the Hamblen Memory Gardens (5421 E Andrew Johnson Hwy, Russellville, TN 37860).
