She was predeceased by: her parents, Andrew Dean and Bonnie Atkins Hightower; her son Danny Keith Laughner, Jr.; and her sisters, Bonnie Dickerson and Shirley Vincent.
She is survived by: her children, Brian Carpenter and Kristin Carpenter; her siblings, David Dean, Sonya Fletcher and Shelia Turner; her grandchildren, Acacia Bowlin, Rileigh Bowlin, Seth Laughner, Ethan Laughner, Hayle Laughner and Dakota Laughner; and her great grandchild Daymond Akeem.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 23rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Chapel of Stetzer-Bales Funeral Home (146 E Main St, Morristown, TN 37814). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 23rd 2025 at 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, September 24th 2025 at 1:00 PM. A graveside service was held on Wednesday, September 24th 2025 at the Bethesda Cemetery.
