He was predeceased by: his daughter Jennifer; his wife Laura Ridley; and his parents, Lloyd Ridley and Myrtle Mayes. He is survived by: his son Matthew Ridley; his daughter-in-law Kayla Mills Ridley; his grandchildren, Megan Wheatley, Carrie Wheatley, Ashley Hoffman (Tyler), Tyler Lowe (Mercedes) and Shawn Lowe (Ashley); his great grandchildren, Emma Ridley, Madelynn Wheatley, Anna Wheatley, Elaina Lowe, Willow Lowe, Mallorie Hoffman, Daniel Lowe, Odin Lowe, Axel Lowe, Malaki Winstead and Gillis Jarvis; and his sister Deborah "Debbie" Satterfield.
A celebration of life was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 4:00 PM at the Smallman Pavilion (2010 Panther Creek Park Rd, Morristown, TN 37814).
