He is survived by: his wife Kay Carter Hurley; his children, Caitlyn Hurley-Potter (Stephen), Meghan Hurley (Jeramey Montanus) and Matthew Hurley (Andy Binsfeld); his grandchildren, Lucas Hurley (Bre Fields), Chloe Slagle, Audrey Rypel and Lexy Montanus; his sister Sandra Hurley Pizzini; his brothers-in-law, Timothy Carter (Lisa), Marc Carter (Libba) and Scot Carter (Kelly); and his nieces and nephews, Joseph Pizzini, Ryan Carter, Logan Carter, Taylor Carter, Marissa Pizzini, Shana Carter, Lindsay Carter Presnell and Brooke Carter.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to the Hamblen County Board of Education to help eliminate student meal debt or to the Morristown East High Band Boosters.
