He is survived by : his wife Lynn Purkey; his sons, Bryan Purkey (April) and Todd Davidson (Tammy); his grandchildren, Bryson Purkey, Zak Davidson (Morgan), Brittany Beckelheimer (Levi) and Courtney Shute (Kyle); his great grandchildren, Rylan, Ilaria, Kylah and Stella; and his brothers, Junior Purkey and David Purkey (Pamela). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

“For those who knew Otto, one of the most important things about him was that he was always the same every time you saw him. He was genuine and real, and always offered a hand to anyone who needed help. I was very fortunate to know him and his family and for years, we shared some of the best times together and those are the ones I will cherish forever. For his family, I know firsthand the hurt and anguish, and the emptiness they are feeling. God be with them.”
