She was predeceased by: her mother Lou Venna Smith; and her brothers, Ronnie Smith, Joe Smith and Jimmy Smith. She is survived by: her husband John Aten; her children, Tina Aten and Eric Aten (Jennifer); her siblings, J. C. Smith (Brenda), Wayne Smith (Debbie) and Wilma Laster (Haywood); and her niece Cathy Sills.
