He is survived by: his children, Joe Bales (Valerie), Thom Bales (Karin) and Mary Ann Rush (Tom); his grandchildren, Caty Palmer (Robbie), Ben Rush (Lauren Shockley), Lauren Mace (Hunter), Will Bales and Theodore Bales; his great grandchild Macie Lynn Palmer; and his pet Missy.
