She was predeceased by: her children, Gene Jefferson, Vicki Jarnigan and Brenda Sue; her former husband Bert Jefferson; her son-in-law James Wilson; her grandson Dana Wilson; her parents, Lincoln Barnes and Willie Barnes Stevens; and her siblings, Bill Barnes, Tom Barnes and Mary Ellis.
She is survived by: her daughters, Linda Wilson and Traci Jefferson; her son-in-law Eddie Jarnigan; her grandchildren, Jennifer Hodge (Jamie), Bo Hoover, Adam Jefferson (Trisha) and Jesse Wilson (Amanda); her great grandchildren, Shyanne Jefferson, Ansleigh Hoover and Isabella Wilson; her great great grandchild Blakely Jefferson; and her brothers, Ken Barnes (Glenda) and David Barnes (Marian). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to support VBS at Fairview Bible Baptist Church or for the placement of Gideon Bibles through Gideons International, honoring Willie Mae's lifelong love for the Word of God.
