He was predeceased by: his parents, Juanita Burgin and Roy Burgin; his wife Nancy Burgin; his siblings, Roy Burgin Jr. and Linda Jones; and his grandson Edward Caldwell.

He is survived by: his daughters, Chassidy Inscore (Justin), Ashley Burgin (David Shelton) and Tiffany Wilson.
