Phillip Todd Strong Obituary

We are sad to announce that, on August 6, 2025, at the age of 96, Phillip Todd Strong of Moss, Tennessee passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Mose J. Strong and Dochia Strong (Reecer); his former wife Anna Strong (Brown); his daughter Julie Rose Ballard; and his siblings, Billy, Lattie, Vishia, John Goolsby, Willie Martin Strong, Paul (Cricket), Christine Strong, Malcom, Wanda Strong, Evelyn Brown, Junior B, Emma Strong and John Millard Strong.

He is survived by: his wife Sue Copas-Strong; his children, James Martin Strong (Mary Head-Strong) and Susan Beth Birdwell (Leon); his grandchildren, Todd Martin Strong, Jada White, Phillip Birdwell, Luke, Lauren Birdwell, Eric, Mandy Birdwell, Lindsey Blakley, Marty Blakley, Scottie and India Ballard; his great grandchildren, Justin, Ellianna, Tabor, Lillie, Trevor, Levi, Jerron, Laike, Julianna, Taylor, Harley, Hayley, Landon and Archie; his sister Janie K. Smith; his brother-in-law James Turner Brown; his stepchildren, Deborah Vinson (Chris), Greg Copas and John P. Copas; and his stepgrandchildren, Sarah, Casey Burke, Katelyn Vinson, Jared Vinson, Jacob Copas, Corey Copas and Leah Jo Copas. He is also survived by 8 step great-grandchildren;; as well as a host of friends and neighbors.

In lieu of flowers the family request that memorial contributions be made to Macedonia Cemetery.
