He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter M. Ellis, Sr. and Winona "Florence" Ellis Charles (Phillips); his former wife Eloise Ellis (Bussell); his son Andrew Ellis; and his siblings, Walter M. Ellis, Jr. and Brenda Lord (Ellis).
He is survived by: his children, Rebecca Ellis Yarosh and Jonathan Mark Ellis (Aimey); his sister Faye Smith (Harold); his stepchildren, Lisa Jarvi (Paul) and Dan Smith; and his grandchildren, Caleb Yarosh (Mariah), Hannah Yarosh, Rowan Yarosh, Karissa "Mars" Yarosh, Lily Ellis and Arwen Ellis. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.
