She was predeceased by: her husband Willard M. Jones; her parents, Wesley Cathey and Effie Odessa Cathey; and her siblings, Blake Cathey, Grant Cathey, Peggy Philippi and Sarah Goins.
She is survived by: her children, Stethney Haney, William Clifton and Cameron Jones; and her grandchildren, Christin Miller, Nicole Clifton, Samantha Clifton, Abbie Newhall and Chelsea Picklesimer. She is also survived by three great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, October 23rd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Hermitage Funeral Home (535 Shute Ln, Old Hickory, TN 37138). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location. A committal service will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Woodlawn Memorial Park (660 Thompson Ln, Nashville, TN 37204).
In lieu of flowers, the family invites anyone who has a quilt or potholder made by Erla to bring it to be displayed during her services.
