He is survived by: his wife Judy Joines (Owen); his siblings, Don Joines (Linda) and Patsy Litchford (Don); his sons, Michael Lee Joines (Nina) and Clint Ray Joines (Lauren); and his grandchildren, Britney Joines, McKinnon Joines and Josie Joines. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the American Legion Post 88 in his honor.
