He was predeceased by : his parents, Delos King and Ruth Witter Burns King; and his son Ryan King. He is survived by : his wife Beth Wedell; his sons, Matthew of Tennessee and James King (Leah) of Tennessee; his sister Suzanne Vice; his grandchildren, Nicholas, Aubrie and Addie Lynn King; his niece Tammy Mischel (Chuck Tedrick); and his nephew Hank Vice.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Day & Genda Funeral Home~mulberry Chapel (204 N Glick St, Mulberry, IN 46058). A graveside service was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Fair Haven Cemetery (8518 W Co Rd 550 N, Mulberry, IN 46058).
