He is survived by: his wife Tammie Tomlinson Griffin; his children, Paige Griffin, Heather Brakefield (Chris) and Chief Warrant Officer 2 Chad Childers, United States Coast Guard, and wife, Kristin; his grandchildren, Delaney Waugh, Hunter Brakefield, Cayden Childers, Kylie Childers and Kaley Childers; his brother Wayne Griffin (Susie); his in-laws, Edward and Jean Tomlinson; and his friend Tammie Tomlinson. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Sellars Funeral Home (2229 N Mt Juliet Rd, Mt. Juliet, TN 37122). A celebration of life was held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
