He is survived by : his wife Katherine Smith Martin; his children, James Henry Martin, Jr., Katherine Diane Lawrence (Joseph), Ezra Martin (Deberth), Harvey Martin (Christy) and Jeffrey Martin (Natina); and his siblings, Frank Martin (Daisy), Lawrence Martin (Carolyn) and Annie Louise Lyles. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren, and a host of great grandchildren.
