He is survived by: his children, Nathaniel Hampton Jr. (Janet), Xavier Hampton (Glenda), Quinton Hampton and Keisha Hampton-Williams (Ulysses); and his siblings, Charlie Hampton, Jewell Hampton, Dora Whittaker, Myra Buchanan and Carrie O. Frierson. He is also survived by grandchildren and two great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, cherished friends, neighbors.
