She was predeceased by: her parents, Rev. Eugene Barrett and Wanda Jones Barrett; her daughter Kelly Marie King Hughes; and her son-in-law Dale Stephenson Hughes. She is survived by: her husband Clifford King, Jr.; her grandson Corey Dale Hughes (Kendal); and her great grandchildren, Payton Rae Hughes of Mount Pleasant, Maci Faith Hughes of Mount Pleasant and Nora Jo Hughes of Mount Pleasant. She is also survived by three sisters-in-law, one brother-in-law, and many nieces and nephews.
