It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bobby Gene Gentry of Mountain City, Tennessee, who passed away on November 16, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Calvin Eugene and Dorothy Absher Gentry; his son Ricky; his siblings, Paul Gentry, Burnice Gentry and Darlene Dunn; and his in-laws, Natha and Lillian Allen.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Sue Allen Gentry; his sons, Jerry (Kim) of Mountain City, Tennessee. and Gary (Aleta Gentry) of Mountain City, Tennessee.; his grandchildren, Trevor Gentry, Brayden Gentry and Brylee Gentry; and his siblings, Roger Gentry (Wanda) and Janie Trivette (Brian).
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 20th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Mountain City Funeral Home (224 S Church St, Mountain City, TN 37683). A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 20th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
