He was predeceased by : his parents, John Brown and Bessie Brown; his wife Betty Ester Hammons; and his siblings, Nettie Pope, Emmie Woodard and Bruce Hammons.
He is survived by : his children, Barbara Hammons, Billy Hammons (Sheila) and Danny Hammons (Linda Brown); his grandchildren, Judd Hammons, Cecilia Winters, Jaylia Collins, Steven Perry, Barbie Perry, Devin Dillard and Brian Hammons; his great grandchildren, Natilee, Grayson Collins, Jakiah Augustine and Zaken Augustine; and his close friends, Sue Johnson, Burl Stout, Carolyn Baker and Rex Johnson. He is also survived by several nieces nephews and other friends.
