He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther Edward Gentry and Gladys Able Gentry; his wife Carolyn Jane Gentry; and his nephews, Donnie and Ronnie Hampton.
He is survived by: his sons, Dean Gentry (April) and Justin Gentry (Malori); his sisters, Helen Harless and Arlene Atwood; his grandchildren, Austin Gentry (Brandy) and Parker Gentry; his niece Jessica Blevins; and his close friend Bennie Campbell. He is also survived by several other nieces, nephews, and cousins.
