He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald M. Garrett, Sr. and Mary Evelyn Cullop Matthews; his grandparents, Graham and Ruth Greer Garrett; his aunts and uncles, Rex, Jack, Wayne, Patricia McConnell and Molly Garrett; and his father-in-law Bill Icenhour.
He is survived by: his wife Kim Gentry Garrett; his cousin Melissa Garrett; his uncle Jesse Garrett (Phyllis); his parents-in-law, Joe Ray Gentry and Phyllis Gentry Icenhour; his sister-in-law Becky Eastridge (Johnny); his niece Katie Timbs; his close friends, Ricky and Millie Campbell; his pet Deacon Garrett; and his siblings, Nichole Bundens (Jeff) and James C. Matthews (Brooke).
